Running Style Analysis
A running style analysis is, in contrast to a shoe test, a physiotherapeutic biomechanical analysis of the runner on the treadmill and a thorough test of the musculoskeletal system (tendons, joints and muscles). A shoe test is carried out in all specialist shops for running and here, with the help of video recordings, you can see the movements of the foot during running, determine the degree of pronation and find the optimal running shoe.
The physiotherapeutic running style analysis is aimed at the runner who wants to get a thorough analysis of their running style and possibly find the cause of running-related injuries. The physiotherapist will make video recordings of the feet during running, both with and without shoes, as well as recording the whole body during running with markers on important joints to assess symmetry, stride length, stride frequency. The biomechanical test will show muscle length and muscle strength, weight distribution on the legs and fat percentage, fat-free weight and muscle mass will be measured.
The test will result in an individual training program with injury prevention exercises as a supplement to the running training. You can receive a video by e-mail with your running recordings if you wish.
The test will take 1.5 hours and you must bring the following: Running shoes, short tights/shorts, sports top/bra (women) and possibly insoles. If you have x-rays and statements from previous treatments, please bring these with you as well.
You can order the test by calling us on 21708633 or by sending an email to mail@sportsfyssen.dk and asking for a running style analysis. You can download a questionnaire here on this website, which you must fill in and take with you to the test.
We can also make gift certificates if you want to give a test as a gift.
