My approach to physiotherapy is based on a philosophy that it is your overall life circumstances that affect your body and influence your injury. So I think it is important to look at all the parts of your life that may have led to your injury and prevent you from healing again. It can be anything from a busy working life, lack of sleep or too eager training progression to biomechanical dysfunctions in your joints as well as unused resources in your movement strategies and muscle function.

I believe that the body has an amazing ability to heal itself. Sometimes, however, it needs a helping hand and a little push in the right direction. In my treatment, I draw on a wide range of knowledge and skills within manual therapy, acupuncture, electrical therapy and training. I really like using my hands in the treatment and enjoy the immediate effect that working manually with overloaded and damaged tissue usually gives.

I would describe myself as a happy part time runner who, however, once in a while has tried to give it full speed on the road. In the marathon distance, this has led to a bronze medal at the DM and a personal record of 2:28. But running is first and foremost free space. I know from bitter experience how frustrating it is to lose that space in connection with an injury and will therefore do everything in my power to help you back to an injury-free body.
